Physics Lab

In physics class, lab is central. Integral. Sacred. More than a mere place in the back of the classroom, the laboratory is the place where physics students do physics. It is in the laboratory that physics students learn to practice the activities of scientists - asking questions, performing procedures, collecting data, analyzing data, answering questions, and thinking of new questions to explore. The lab ideas and associated pages in The Laboratory section of this web site are designed to help teachers improve their lab programs by adopting labs with a purpose. There are over 150 lab ideas presented here - but their presentation is much different than the traditional presentation of a lab. The traditional lab comes with a lengthy procedure which dominates the landscape - both the landscape of the distributed paper as well as the landscape of the student mind. Zoology Lab

Zoology Lab was completely renovated and remodeled to include a museum and a separate laboratory. This complex is a comfortable place to study zoology or ecology. The lab components of zoology, aquatic biology and ecology use these rooms in alternate semesters. Typically, for all of these labs about 1/2 of the semester is spent in the field, with the other 1/2 spent in the lab processing collections, studying preserved specimens, or conducting experiments.

Botany Lab

Plants provide an essential foundation on life on earth, therefore in depth basic and applied knowledge of this subject is of prime importance. The college has understood the importance of Botany and so the department of Botany was established. Considering the scope and opportunities for botany students the subject includes topics such as, Plant diversity, Plant Morphology and Anatomy, Plant Taxonomy, Plant physiology, Plant Pathology, Plant biotechnology, Plant Embryology and Palynology, Evolution and Paleobotany, Genetics and Molecular biology, Ethnobotany, Pharmcognosy and Plant Biochemistry. The laboratories are spacious, well ventilated and are equipped with the necessary instruments as per the syllabus by SavitribaiPhule Pune University such as Dissecting microscopes, compound microscopes, spectrophotometer, colorimeter, centrifuge machine, heating mantle, air sampler, hygrometer, camera lucida, soxhlet apparatus, autoclave, microtome, respirometer, botanical charts and specimens.

Computer Lab

As increasing numbers of people with disabilities engage in educational opportunities that require computer use, the accessibility of computing facilities becomes even more critical. Put simply, computer labs need to be accessible to all users. Students with disabilities need equal access to: (1) building/facilities, (2) lab staff, (3) physical space and printed materials, (4) computers and software, and (5) electronic resources. Employing principles of universal design when planning services in your facility can facilitate equal access. Universal design means that you design your facility for a broad range of users including students with a wide range of hearing, visual, mobility and learning impairments. While universal design cannot meet the needs of every user, it reduces the need for special accommodations. Geography Lab

Geography lab plays a pivotal role in enriching geographical base of a student. The school has maintained a well equipped lab which helps the learners to know the exact location of states, countries, ocean, etc. Our lab contains all maps (Physical as well as Political) , charts, globes and slides required for reference. It also contains geomorphological models needed for understanding the subject. The lab is well equipped with apparatus like -Rain Gauge, Thermometer, Barometer, Magnetic North and instruments like Globe, standard time indicator, etc and different 3D models facilitate the study of this subject and enhance the comprehension of students. The Lab has a rich collection of CDs and geographical specimen of minerals, metallic ores, rocks and rock forming minerals.
